On Saturday night, I headed over to Big Poppa's for a birthday party. I realized afterwards that it had been a very long time since I'd been to any kind of party. They're fun; maybe I should go out more.
Yes, life is a bit dull these days. I did some online CD shopping over the weekend to try and lively it up. A whole pile of Trashcan Sinatra CDs. A Pizzicato Five DVD. Even an album from The Brilliant Green. Plus, I found a used copy of Mint Sound Greatest Hits, Volume 1. However, online shopping results in a ten-to-fifteen-day delay in satisfaction.
I have OSCEs this Thursday and Friday, with 'culture' and 'ethics' exams on Friday afternoon. Monday is our paeds exam. I should be studying, working, pushing. Instead, time seems to flow by, but I've stepped out of the stream.
Best of luck with the OSCEs and the rest of your exams!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Day one is over, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteI hope all went well!
ReplyDeleteI have my first mini-OSCE this afternoon and I am more stressed than I think I should be. I am sure your's went by breezy, but I am finding that my regular multiple choice studying that I have been doing for almost a decade now is not up to snuff for this one-on-one performance testing. I am going to have to find whole new study techniques. :)
I thought that this was an entry on Groucho Marx ...
ReplyDeleteHoo boy, Friday morning was rough. Started with a mini mental, which I did not study whatsoever. Threw me off completely. Oh well, one maneuver out of seven blown; as long as I did well enough on the rest.
ReplyDeleteMed Neo, I hope your mini-OSCE went well. It's a bit stressful at first; funny enough, I find that some people talk too much, and don't demonstrate enough. That's a trap I would avoid, since on a real patient, it's the actual exam that's important, not so much the talking.
Mad, fruit flies like a banana.
