My friend Bil just moved to LA, and now feels that gray skies constitute bad weather. Meanwhile, here the high was -24 ºC yesterday, and it was in the -30s last night. I went shopping, and couldn't feel my feet for a while...
So, am I complaining? No and yes. No, because I kinda enjoy that. Yes, because, I have to say, the weather in Calgary has been a bit too hot for my tastes the last month or so. Sure, we had some nice -20 weeks back in December, but since I got back after Christmas, it has hung around the freezing mark, with a few days in the high teens, if you can imagine that.
Anyways, yesterday's pleasure will quickly fade away again, as Monday's high is supposed to be above zero again. :( At least we have some snow on the ground.

-24? I get excited if it drops below 0 and there's the chance of snow!
hope you have well insulated boots...
It's supposed to be -33 during the night. Oooow I can't stand cold weather. We've got a major snowstorm here, did you get it?
Around zero is the worst! :) Slush sucks! I have a pair of
-33 ºC, that's what I'm talking about. We don't get any of the snow that hits out east. When it does snow, we usually get at most 10 cm at a time, and it is usually very dry and light snow, not like back in Ottawa, where the flakes always seemed bigger.
Maybe I was just smaller in the old days...
I've never even seen 10cm of snow... We might get 2-3cm, but more likely to get an icing sugar dusting. Very pretty but not enough for snowballs or sledging!
I blame the gulf stream.
(We do have the world's most grey and damp rain tho. Our rain is practically a tourist attraction.)
Odd, I never finished that sentence earlier... I have a pair of Docs, but they're a bit long in the tooth.
From my perspective, 10 cm is nothing. Back in Ottawa, I remember weeks where I was shoveling 30 cm off of the drive every day... good times. :)
Yeah, the Gulf Stream will get you every time. But, this global warming thing is really cramping our style over here in Canada.
