Yesterday, I finished the last instant noodle soup I had in my apartment. All told, I think I've had instant noodle 112 times since moving here, and it's time for a change of pace.
I'm now making my way through the 24 packages of Kraft Dinner that I bought back in August of 2005. Thank goodness that Ensure keeps my diet healthy and balanced.

It's 2007! August of 2005? CRAZY stale food! I got some kitchen gadgets for Christmas so I'm excited to get back to experimenting with cooking. :o)
Now that I think about it, for breakfast I had a 'drinkin' box' of 'orange drink' leftover from a school event in February of 2006, along with a rice crispies square from March or April (I discovered them both in my locker at school yesterday afternoon).
It was a day of classic food.
Oh, the wonders of preservatives.
Kitchen gadgets are always fun. :)
omg Kraft Dinner and Ensure??! Eeew...
I got a CrockPot cooker for Christmas. That is really useful :)
Thanks to 7 years of living downtown Ensure is permanently associated in my mind with crack and heroine addicts.
Hmm, I have thought about electric crock pots in the past, but I always feel I'd end up not using it, unless I can find a recipe for 'Ensure and Kraft Dinner Stew'.
Really, Ensure and crack/heroin? Wow, is there a direct connection?
My husband first noticed a lot of discarded Ensure cans around places also known for a lot of drug activity. Then I noticed some very strung out people chugging the stuff in the neighborhood. We recently heard that some of the support services downtown hand out Ensure to people not not able or willing to eat a full meal. Liquid nutrition makes sense since these drugs kill the appetite and block up the GI tract.
What keeps you busy enough to not be able to update in 7 days?
food poisoning...?
...right. I should have thought about it... !
I should be so lucky! :) No, instead, my PowerLappy's hard drive croaked last Friday. I hope it comes back from the shop on Saturday. :(
I'm typing this in on my Palm...
Noodle.
You can say that again! :)
what a invention, pot noodles!
I was sad to hear about the recent death of the inventor of instant noodles, Momofuku Ando.
